After 12 hours there is bubling, foaming, stuff flying around, strange smells, gurgling; chaos I tell ya; man that yeast is sure tearing it up.

Had no idea there would be that much convection in the carboy.

Only strange for those who have not smelled fermenting beer, wine ect. Smells are significantly less than red wine fermentation on grapes.
 
Glad I went with glass as a primary, man there is alot goin on in that carboy. The starter I made was awsome, I'm sold, almost no lag time.
