Hey guys,
Just starting to get into lagers now and I have gutted the fridge in my kitchen. Well today my neighbor gave me a fridge AND an upright freezer. This is my first big score for lager equipment and I plan to put these in an older storage shed behind my house.
Now here's what I am thinking: use the upright freezer for primary (set it at 50-55 degrees via Ranco ETC). I want to build a shelf so that I can get at least 2 primaries (6.5 g glass carboys) or maybe even 4 if I do plastic buckets.
Then I'll use the fridge for lagering at 40 degrees. I put my lagers in cornies and let them sit for about a month.
Any thoughts on this setup or suggestions for a better setup?
TIA
