Old-ish flaked wheat. Use it?

I have a half pound of flaked wheat that has been vaccuum sealed and in my freezer for the last 6-8 months. I was planning on doing an experimental brew this week and could use the wheat if it is still good. Any reason not to?

For that small a quantity, and for the fact it's been vacuum sealed and kept frozen - I'd use it and not think twice.
