And Jay,
You need to start riding herd on the Yankee Ingenuity Irregulars, Bill, Dean, Jester, Kai, et all.

You're in charge of organizing the carpools. BTW, I've got a couple sleeping bags available if anyone needs to borrow one and doesn't have one.

Never heard from Kai. WOndering if he's not using that email address anymore. Dean's usually pretty busy, but I'll check with him and Billie and Evan. Jester sounded like a "maybe", hope he can make it.

Jockey box has been dismantled. I took it all apart and popped six of the seven taps into a large armoir/entertainment unit that matches F-Dub's bah and we're dragging them up north this weekend for the jamboree. You're welcome to yse the armoir but you'll need a trailer (or will have to borrow mine as well).

Nah, they'll work fine.

Everyone bringing a keg, and I hope there are a lot of you, please remember to bring a cobra tap. Pleez. And ice. I only have a 4 tap kegerator so I'll have to get a big plastic tub to put the kegs/ice in, and I'll kimchee rig a CO2 daisy chain.

BTW, who's bringing what, as far as beer goes?

I'll have a keg of Pliney clone, a keg of bitter, a sour or two and I believe I have a wheat down cellar.

Still planning on coming. Got another guy from our club coming too. SOs and spawn in tow. Got Cacoila and something venzin coming. and Cacoa Caliente brownies. Will bring a canopy. I'll even bring bottles of my crappy beer to make all your beers look better-ain't I a swell guy? Anything else y'all need/want?

You're more than welcome to take the "jockey armoir". I juat think it is more of a hassle than its worth though.

No, I agree. It will be easier to just go with a plastic tub full of ice for the kegs and a bunch of cobras. If I get an idea of how many kegs are coming I'll know how many tubs I'll need.

LOL. Thats a funny image. PTN on the back of a poor pony who's crushed half ibto the ground, all four legs outstretched to each side.

"giddy up pony!!!!"

I am humbled to have such a smaht friend.

Hey Data and AZ,
I just checked on the Sox web site and there are tix available for Sunday's game vs the Devil Rays. (Ya, I know they're the Rays now, not the Devil Rays but the one and only time I was in Tampa I was handcuffed and under a Marine Corp escort on a Greyhound bus. Through a series of unfortunate misunderstandings I was unjustly accused of not being as appreciative of the dignity of the US Navy as they thought a young Coast Guardsman ought to be. They shipped my buddy, Billy McGinn and I, handcuffed, under armed Marine Corp escort to the nearest Coast Guard base, which was in Tampa. Fortunatley the full bird Captain there who presided over our mast thought what we did was funny, so after he bawled us out for getting caught he took us to lunch at the O club and bought us drinks. But I still don't have like Tampa.) Anyways, I found tix on the third base line for <$100 on the Sox website. That's not a bad place to watch a game. I understand that $100 buys you season tix at Camden Yards and a luxury box at Chase Field but this is the big leagues and it's a bit more expensive to go to a game here.

Data, you should really consider staying around till Monday. They're playing the O's that night. It would be a whole new experience for you, going to a stadium full of fans.

Not sure what I'm bring, but I'll have my own CO2 and picnic taps, etc. IPA, definitely. The India Black Ale, didn't come out all that good. There's absolutely no hop character at all (I was trying to make an English interpretation, I must have not used nearly enough) and I went a little too heavy on the roast; it's basically a mediocre porter. Smoked bock, I'll give it another taste, but I don't think it ever fully attenuated; the last reading I did was ~1.03. Might have dropped a little after that, but it'd been fermenting for a long time at that point. Pretty sure that's the beer I brewed at LAST Masstoberfest.

The IPA's nice, though, even though I have absolutely no recollection of when I brewed it or what's in it. I wasn't even sure what it was until I tasted it.

Oh, and it sounds like Bill is in, sounds like his kid is in town and might tag along. Evanmars can't make it. Shot Glibbiddy a message on Facebook, haven't heard back (he might be out of town, but at least I know he's not underwater). Kai, I've sent him emails at the two accounts I know.

Ouch, that stings a little. I am very familiar with what full baseball stadiums look like. I see it every time I go to a Yankee or Sox game in Baltimore.

I had actually seen they were starting that series Monday and thought about staying around but I just don't have the time off from work for that. It would be a total of 3 days off that I would need to take. Don't really have the money for all that either.

Oh and that $100 would buy you some really good season tickets too. :(

Hell, we were trying to figure out if we could arrange a Baltimore road trip earlier in the season!

Trying to figure out what to brew. Thinking something a little more on the simple side. Maybe just another IPA, but with a big dose of Munich malt again; maybe revisit my old "Murder In The Red Barn" recipe. Have to do an ingredient-check this weekend.

So AZ,

Did you jump? You in?

Do I need to start looking around for a box that the Masstoberfest Cup will fit in? (You DO realise that if you come we'll rig the ballot so you end up winning and have to; <A>, get the farkin' thing home, and <B>, bring it back next year, right? You'll be like that dude with the white gloves shepparding Lord Stanley's Cup around the world.) Only this one won't have had Dave Schultz slurping from it.

Hey I was just sitting here eating lunch (Yes, it's 10 past 2 on Sunday morning and I'm eating lunch. It's not much of a life but it is mine.) and I was thinking through the logistics of the 'brew day' part of Masstoberfest. One thing I think we ran into difficulty with last year was a log jam with a bunch of people needing water/hoses/etc at the same time. I have a two spicket hose bib of the porch and we could definatley use more. Can a few of you guys bring along hoses and splitters? Especially since we're going to have a bunch of folks boiling full batches that require a hose in and a hose out for cooling, that's going to require a lot of hoses. Also, if you have a short hose on the 'OUT' side of your Immersion Chiller please put a male hose end on it so we can attach a length of garden hose to get the run off out onto the grass and off the driveway. My driveway slopes down from the street and any cooling water pumped onto the driveway collects at the far end, right where everyone will be.

Thanks,
PTN

Bird I never grabbed it, Kia said he would give it you when you guys saw each other. I believe you had a 4 way splitter too. I have a two way that ill bring and some random stuff but I'm debating brewing cause of all the crap I have to bring.

Oh, I thought you had grabbed it. I have a two-way splitter at the house, it was the four-way that I had left behind. Maybe I'll grab another one, they're only like ten bucks at Depot.

I'll be brewing, since the only time I ever brew is when I *do* have to load up all my crap and take it clear across the state.

I've got to check my burner, though... I accidentally left it out in a rainstorm and now it's rusted to hell. Hopefully, I can clean it up, maybe shoot some air through it and clean it up. Might need a soaking in some kind of cleaner, anyway, it wasn't burning all that well when I used it last. Still gotta find time to hit the HBS and the welding shop for some CO2, drove forty minutes up to Bennington yesterday and the damn shop closed at NOON. Grr.....
