The woman that I talked to was very nice, and she said that orders are pouring in. I told her more than likely it was from this site.

Yeah, the guy I spoke with said ordering has been crazy and that they are both very popular products. When asked how I heard of them I said there had been alot of discussion on a beer brewing forum and that they had been tagged as an excellent company that will get the products for you. He was pleased.

Awesome! Thanks to both of you for the picture and link. I'll be purchasing those very soon.

I also just put in my order for (7) perlick 575SS (the creamer faucets) and from what I was told the PO will be sent out tomorrow and the taps will be coming as soon as possible!

I'm getting a zero with that part number for the creamers. Do you have a link?

Hey look, another Red Sox nerd! :ban:

No link directly to the product. No where is really carrying the 575SS yet. Call the folks over at the rapidswholesale.com main location(800-472-7431.) Ask if they have them (they won't) and they'll probably say they can try and call Perlick for you to see if they can get a price. They should get you squared away and have them drop shipped directly to you!! From first picking up the phone to having them completely ordered it took me about 15 minutes, should be about 31 bucks each plus whatever shipping runs you.

I'm so glad I found this thread so i could order some :ban:

Hahaha, It's not THAT creepy I swear!

ONTO SOME NEW PICS

Here's one my gf took: she shot it through a shank hole at the lid:

COLLAR TEAM... ASSEMBLEEEEEE!!!!
Picture061.jpg

We initially glued 1 short piece to 1 long piece, so we could line them up properly.

After the glue set for a while, we put finishing nails on each side of the 45 degree angle. Here I am:
Picture062.jpg

On the front however, we opted to put 6 nails on the outsides so there will be no nails at all on the front.

You can definitely get the idea now what it's going to look like...

Here is the collar mocked up onto the lid.

The collar was a bit off when the 4 pieces were put together, but that was solved by pressing it down and glueing it. It lays completely flat and true though. In the two pictures above the collar is simply resting on the lid, not attached. We decided to wait because there was some caulking that hadn't dried yet. It'll be done soon.

There will be LOTS of pictures once we start getting to that point. GF and I agreed that we will not pour 1 pint before the paint is done.

Looks good, this thing is going to be one HELL of a Keezer!! Congrats! :rockin:

I actually didnt think that one was as bad as your girlfriend shooting it through the shank hole :ban:

Looks awesome man! I can't wait to see that beast once it is finished.

Also,

What happens when you get some leaves on your Monsterator/Kilterator??? Just blow them off, dummy! I'm Dr. Steve Brule! For your health!

AVAST antivirus just went ballistic on that link? Anyone else get the same thing?

BEWARE!!!

AVG freaked out as well and I foolishly ignored the warning.

This link installed some Trojan horse rootkit crap that has taken me about 10 hours of running different scanners to fix. Thanks to the Majorgeeks forums for the help.

You're kidding. I talked to people at the company and they told me there shouldn't be an issue with it, but they are working on it right now.

Not kidding.

Sweet project by the way! I love the plaid idea, I think it will look really cool when its done! Keep posting the pics.

You can forward this info to them if you like. Maybe it will be helpful, maybe not....

Last night I clicked on "ignore this warning" and that is when Firefox locked up and AVG started freaking out.

That really is weird.

+1 on their service though! Rapids called me today letting me know that my 575SS's were shipped out from Perlick today, and my shanks are on the way!

7 more shanks just came in!!!

...and I realized that in total that makes 10, not 12...d'oh!

I may just cave and buy them locally, I don't want to wait any longer! The 575SS's were not processed properly the first time, and probably won't be shipping until Monday.... bah!

They sure are! That's where I got my Perlicks. William's is great to deal with.
I said WOW, went to the link and found:

PERLICK FORWARD SEAL FAUCET WITH SHANK
Item #:D39
Price - $49.90
We are currently out of stock on this item. We expect to have more available on ...

SUCKS.

That monster is looking good though.

No updates from this weekend. I was visiting gf's house so nothing new.

I did talk to perlick directly and they finally processed my order on friday. My hope is that they were shipped today and should be here soon. The only items left to purchase:
-2 more SS shanks
-hose clamps

Once everything is in the rest of the project should move along quickly. The freezer may even move upstairs this weekend.

Perlick Porn!!!!!!!

These appear to have a much smoother feel, and the faucet itself is one pieces rather than 2 like for 425SS units. I almost wish I had purchased all 575SS instead of the 425SS (Anyone want to buy 3 brand new and 2 reburbished 425SS?).

Either way, these things look awesome!!!

Also, the last 2 shanks are on order, and the quick disconnects should be here soon. The only items I need now are hose clamps and tie downs for the beer line, but that won't stop me from doing a good amount of work this weekend!!! WOOOHOOOO

hehehe...

May 5th the 2 last shanks will be here. My hope is I can keep myself busy with other items on the list before they come.

not to throw a wrench in the works, but how bout a stout faucet on there
Not right now, but sometime down the line one of the 425SS will probably get replaced with a stout faucet. For now, I wanted to keep it this way.
dude that is freakin ridiculous. Seriously, I bow to you. Awesome.
:rockin::rockin: Thanks!

Dude that is awesome! I think aside from getting other things taken care of while waiting on the last two shanks, someone needs to pull out the brewstand! How in the crap are you going to keep 12 taps supplied! I can't even keep 2! I mean...What the heck you gonna when, like, you go to pull one of those taps say oh crap, I forgot to make the beer for them! I'll tell you what you're gonna do. You're gonna fill the glass with co2 and turn it on it's side, cause Co2 turns to liquid! Then you're gonna drink that....For your health!

Sorry I can never resist and my wife and I were laughing about your Steve Bruel-ness.

hahahahahahaha!

I honestly don't drink THAT much beer, but I enjoy variety! My assumption is once it's filled it really won't be difficult to keep it that way, as I don't drink during the week. This will be a great way for me, my girlfriend, family, and friends to all try different types of beer. My intention is to go AG next month which will aid in cheaper brewing as well. I'm going to be talking to my girlfriend's brother about planning out a few brews in advance so I can buy in bulk.

Also, I believe I will be dressing up as Dr. Steve Brule for Halloween this year.

Have you had a kegerator before? It used to take me months to drink a 5G batch from bottles. Now that I keg, it's 2-3 weeks tops.

And dressing up as s. Bruel is an awesome idea. I may have to steal if for our halloween party. Although the one we go to is thrown by a party nazi and is trying to designate costumes this years as zombie-victorian people or something like that. Nothing against Zombie's, but Funny creative costumes are my preference. anybody and put on fake blood and ripped clothes, where's the creativity in that!
