Besides the taste, what makes a beer Malt Liquor? Like whats the difference in brewing process, ingredients, between your typical beers, Budlight, Miller etc and Mickey's, Old English, Colt 45? Ive always wondered what the difference is.
 
Malt liquors are light lagers with high alcohol. Generally using adjuncts (corn, rice, etc.) to keep the beer from being too heavy
 
the reason they're called malt liquor instead of beer is that they are required to be labeled so by law if the OG (or maybe ABV) is above a certain level.
