I have a friend who is just starting to brew (one brew under his kilt). He went to Portland a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with C-Note IIPA from Old Lompoc brewing. I told him I'd help him make a clone... Feedback would be appreciated.

I'm not all that familiar with the beer itself, but 2.5lbs of crystal/caramel seems a bit high to me. I'd drop the second "caramel malt" entirely and reduce the amount of 75L to ~.5lbs. There'll be a lot of crystal in the extracts, so as-is, your recipe will come out pretty malty.

I'd also bump the Chinook and 30 minute Centennial to later in the boil (say, 15 and 10 minutes, respectively). But again, I don't know what c-note itself tastes like, so your mileage may vary.
