Airlock filled with blowoff

Just checked my airlock and looks like some blowoff has gotten in, should it be cleaned out?

If you have a length of hose the diameter of your port remove the airlock and put that in with the other end stuck in a bucket of sanitizer. This blowoff hose will allow plenty of room for a big Krauesen and you won't have to worry about it. I start all big beers on blowoff hoses and only switch to an airlock when things slow down.

If you don't have that I would clean it out only if it is enough to interfere with the action of the airlock.

Every time I get a little krauesen in my airlock there is more to follow. I'd go with a blowoff tube.

Still needs to be cleaned asap if you ever want to use it again. If the krausen has died down you can clean it, sanitize it, and put it back on. If it hasn't go with the blowoff tube (which wouldn't be a bad idea anyway).

If they are clogged make a blow-off tube and as said, wash your airlocks immediately and sanitize it.
You don't want ugly stuff growing on your equipment.
