I have about 18 bottles of cider that I am ready to pasteurize. Do I just set it in the dishwasher and run it on the sanitation setting? Dumb question- any reason I can't do dishes at the same time? lol

Soap residue is a big deal with anything that has to do with alcohol from the vessel you ferment it in to the vessel you drink it out of.

Okay, it's not that big of a deal to do my dishes at the same time. It was kind of a joke. The main question was if I need to do anything aside from put the bottles in the washer and run the sanitize cycle. Do I? Does top or bottom rack matter?

Stacking wise - What matters is being able to fit the bottles into the dish washer.. Try it out - if they won't fit in the top.... you can't put them in the top....

If soap gets in - you have bigger problems with your caps not sealing....

Thanks
