Last night my girlfriend and her family surprised me with a home brew kit as an early birthday present. Now that the Panthers are out of the playoffs (5 interceptions Delhomme, really?) I'll have some time to get into brewing. I've always enjoyed beer, and I like cooking, so I'm excited to get the two together for some fun.

I can't say I remember the name of the company for the brewing kit or the recipe kit, but I'll be trying to make a porter first. And they also got me a copy of How to Brew so I'll be reading that shortly.
