0.25 oz Cluster [7.00 %] (30 min) Hops 10.9 IBU have whole from wild plants planted around 1950
1 Pkgs Nottingham (Danstar #-) Yeast-Ale

I do have an order going in next week so I can add anything to it. Suggestions?

Won't be anything like MGD.

80/20 extract/sugar (rice or corn syrup) to 1.050 with 12 or so IBUs and a lager yeast will get you closer.

If you need to use an ale yeast, find an extract cream ale recipe.

With that little hop character and no specialty malt that is going to be a very light tasting beer. MGD has more malt than that so you are undershooting the flavor.

I'd crush a few beano tablets into the primary and really dry that sucker out.

was actually toying with adding a little honey

If I could get my hands on some Yuengling Premium yeast wouldn't need the Beano :)

A record - Evan!'s law before the first post!

Skip the flaked wheat. It won't help much without a malted grain to convert it. Use white wheat malt or carapils instead.

was originally thinking this but just wanted to use up what I had. lager yeast is no problem and the corn syrup is no problem.

Here is a recipe I use for light beer:

5 pounds extra pale liquid extract (or 4 pounds of DME)
1 pound Corn syrup or Corn Sugar

Boil for an hour:
3/4 oz Hallertau for bittering (60 minutes)
1/4 oz Hallertau for flavor (last 15 minutes)

Dry yeast: US-05
Wyeast: 1056
White Labs: California Ale

Important: Crush 3 Beano tablets (yes, Beano) and add when you add the yeast.
Be careful not to touch the tablets from the bottle and crush with very clean and sanitized utensils.

The Beano tablets make the beer finish very clean.

It also helps to use half distilled water and half regular water (the water you usually use for brewing).

The absence of aroma hops, the beano tablets and using some distilled water will make the finish extremely clean and very enjoyable for light beer drinkers.
