I brewed my first all grain batch yesterday. It is an american pale ale. My calculated efficiency is 70%, which from reading other posts here seems to be pretty good for a first timer.
I am using a 5gal Gott cooler with a Phils phalse bottom as a MLT. The mash through the boil were done on my deck. I moved into the kitchen to cool the wort and transfer to the fermenter.
Overall I am pretty happy with brewday and can't wait to get started on my next batch. I am thinking about a dry stout.

Sounds great!

When I brewed my first all grain, the kitchen looked like a bomb went off. I'm glad to hear your session went much better. :)
