Propane regulator help

It's possible that it is more sensitive to the safety valve in the tank. Are you turning the tank valve on slowly while the regulator valve is in the off position so it does not get fooled into thinking it's leaking? If you are then maybe it is defective as I can't think of what else could be wrong, it's a pretty simple device.
 
+1 to SAMC. I had the same issue where a safety feature would constantly kick in. Make sure you open the valve very slowly and open the air damn slowly as well. This will ensure a good flame and not the typicalbig flameout at the beginning. I struggled with this with my camp chef and once I got the process down, I haven't had a problem. Keep us posted!
