The honey character was present, but not as noticeable as I had anticipated. The subtlety, I think, made it better. Also, the flavors from the chocolate malt really melded well with the other flavors. Just enough bitterness to balance out the malt, but this is really a malt forward beer. As objectively as I can manage, this is a really good beer. Probably going on the menu when my brother and I start the brew pub.
 
I brewed this about a month ago and am enjoying my first bottle of it today. Wow!!! I added a little more honey and it has a very nice, smooth mouth feel and a tasty malty character. Thanks for the great recipe.
