I couldn't find any policy about this. I posted yesterday in the big Show us Your Label thread, but no one answered my question about it. So here goes. These vary from tasteful to distasteful.

A) there's no question so I can see why no one answered you. B) what purpose do the images serve when it comes to beer labels? I seriously can't see myself wanting to receive a beer with some girl pissing in the road that somehow is associated with a lemon beer. But that's just me and maybe I just don't get it.

Are you drunk right now? :)

This is epic trolling though, thanks for the laugh

Removed the second and third photos. Here's where the rules are https://www.homebrewtalk.com/faq.php?faq=vb3_board_faq#faq_rules_regulations and here's the rule that applies to this:

1. No posting of inappropriate/immoral/illegal material (if you are unsure of exactly what this means, PM a moderator for clarity), please post in a mature/sensible/respectful manner.

There is a place to post photos like this on HBT, its a forum in the members section (for supporting members). Photos such as these are allowed there, but no where else in the forums.

Worst label ever.

I understand OP is looking for an opinion and opens himself up for such, still kinda uncalled for. ;)

Commenting on the one that IS left-
I'll not state my opinion with no feeling or explanation, as this type of request requires at least that.
If OP is the artist and they did not rip it from Google images(my suspicion, as it looks familiar), the art itself is reasonably well done for what it is. Not my preferred style of art, but is my personal opinion.
For a beer label....meh....is mediocre. It will not reproduce well; it will come out fuzzy, at best. Unless you plan on spending big bucks on high dollar, HD graphics placed on a label material that will not allow the printing to run, you will be very disappointed that "your" art looks like crap on a bottle.
Again, one non-artists opinion....which is what ya opened yourself up for. :D

You may not have seen the photo/label that @Psylocide is calling the worst ever . . . I think he may be right. Well, ok, someone may have done a scat beer label, and that would be worse.

Thanks. And thank you for not making too big a deal of this. I did look around, but I still can't find that FAQ other than through your link. I tried to let people self censor with my title. Maybe I'll repost them later when I am a supporting member.

To the people who saw them and didn't like them. I'm not trolling and I did put these labels on actual bottles I gave out to people. They're meant to be lighthearted and of course beer is made for adults who are mature enough to see such things. I think I did choose obscene pictures because it's my beer and I wanted to express that I can do whatever I want with the labels. Also, these pornographic photographs are relatively tasteful for porn.

You're welcome, and its not a big deal at all.

The rules are in a sticky thread at the top of the Homebrew Talk Announcements and Feedback forum. There are a couple of other sticky threads there that folks might want to take a look at, too.

Cheers!

Did not see the removed pictures, but the one remaining does have roots in art history. Google for "Klimt" and "Schiele". Art noveau, turn of the century. (19th to 20th, that is).
