This WLP013 is a monster

Currently fermenting 2 - 5.5 gallon batches of an Imperial porter that had a starting gravity of 1.087 using WLP013. Air locks clogged, then added a blow off tube to one. Eruptions were going off everywhere! Lids on the buckets looked like they were going to blow off and beer was oozing out from under lids and anywhere it could escape. The end result was about 3/4 of a gallon from each spilled all over the base of my fermentation locker.

Is this common for this strain? I had my locker at 60-62 deg, and the beer was heating up to 70 deg with all the activity.

Not sure it if is common, but in the future I would use a blow off tube.

yes, blow-off tube or larger fermentation bucket.
