Do you think this "four" theme will make a decent Roggenbier

4.00 lbs Flaked Rye – Oio
4.00 lbs Maris Otter - Muntons
4.00 lbs Pilsner Malt Grain – Weyermann
.40 lbs Chocolate Wheat - Weyermann
.40oz Tettnang Hop Pellets – Alpha 4.4% FWH (90 minute boil)
.40oz Tettnang Hop Pellets – Alpha 4.4% 60 minutes
.40oz Tettnang Hop Pellets – Alpha 4.4% 15 minutes
.40oz Tettnang Hop Pellets – Alpha 4.4% 5 minutes
.40oz Tettnang Hop Pellets – Alpha 4.4% dry hop
.40 lbs Rice Hulls
Wyeast 3944 Witbier
44 qts. filtered water

My first fully carb'd roggen doesn't get opened until this weekend..... I used wheat and two row instead of the pilsner and MO (I don't know that it makes a big difference). The true yeast for the style is the Wyeast 3068. I used WLP320 since I had hopped it over the style guidelines already!

I'd probably skip the 4's theme and use 8# of Rye malt in place of the 4# of flaked rye and 4# of MO, but the recipe as is should still make you a good beer.
