Well my trelis is up! I still have to do the guy wires on the sides, but at this point, the babies have something to grow up past 6 feet on.
 
today was the first time that I have ever measured anything that grows, and well, here are the results. I have pics too, just need to upload them

Centennial #1 - 16"
Centennial #2 - 4"
Centennial #3 - 4'
Cascade #1 - DOA
Cascade #2 - 2' 8"
Cascade #3 - DOA
Fuggle - 6' 9" and has side arms
Chinook - 6' 4" and has side arm buds
Magnum - 3' 2"
Brewers Gold 5' 9"
Unknown Hop #1 courtesy of Balto Charlie - 4' 11" and has side arm buds

I'm so proud of my babies (and Balto Charlie's babies as well, they seem to like it here with the other hops)

Growth Update in two weeks in red:

Centennial #1 - was 16" now 2'; difference of 8"
Centennial #2 - was 4" now 10"; difference of 6"
Centennial #3 - was 4' now 7' 9"; difference of 3' 9"
Cascade #1 - was DOA now a marigold
Cascade #2 - was 2' 8" now 7'; difference of 4' 4"
Cascade #3 - was DOA now a marigold
Fuggle - was 6' 9" now 7' 10"; difference of 1' 1"
Chinook - was 6' 4" now 15' 6"; difference of 9' 2"
Magnum - was 3' 2" now 6' 5"; differnce of 2' 3"
Brewers Gold - was 5' 9" now 14'; difference of 8' 3"

yeah....used the same ruler, measured in the morning, had 1 beer in me, so everything else was constant....just the hop growth was different
 
I'm really sure it's just luck....but then again hops are very robust plants
 
Hot diggity damn. That's awesome... I need land...

Any idea if Progress hops would grow here, I've not been able to get them ANYWHERE and I need them for my favorite recipe to date...

It's growth habits are described as strong grower, dark in color, prolific cone producer.

It's supposedly a hybrid intended to replace Fuggle but with more of a citrusy flavor that comes from it's American variety heritage. :p

In short, Progress hops are 50% of my favorite ale's makeup.
