My first batch ever is damn close to being done fermenting, I am going to rack it to a secondary tomorow. I took a taste of the sample I was reading and it tasted pretty darn good but seemed to be a little watered down. Granted I am a littled buzzed and had quite a few beers tonight, but I was just wondering is that something that is normal?
I brewed a Big Ben Pale Ale from midewest

and the sample I took with a sanatized turkey baster is from right off the top of the beer in the carboy is that maybe why it tasted watered down?

yea u really cant tell a whole lot about it from that unless some thing really bad happened if it tasted ok then you are on track for some really good beer congrats
