I've got a 2L batch of orange hobo-wine (in a pop bottle with a baloon 'valve') made as follows:

1L pure OJ
14oz Sugar
Water
Yeast + nutrient starter

After just 3 days the fermentation seems to have stopped, and there is a LOT of yeast in the bottom of the bottle.

Has it crashed and burned? should I add more nutrient? should I rack into 2nd and see what happens?

I make a ton of wine, and I always rack when the SG is 1.020 to 1.010 or so. It generally takes 3-5 days, but sometimes I'll check it and it's at .990 (completely finished!) before I know it.

If you're not check the SG, or using an airlock, I'd suggest moving it and putting it under airlock.
