Still inexperienced in brewing, so I'm looking for some feedback for an IPA recipe (any additions or subtractions)
I love IPAs and am interested in experimenting with different hop combinations (to get a better idea of what hop flavors I enjoy most).
This is for a 3 gallon batch--extract. This recipe as it stands seems to be on the fence of IPA and IIPA. I'm sorta leaning toward a more "hopburst" style too.
Grain
3 lbs Golden Light DME
1 lb Bavarian Wheat DME
1 lb Pilsen Light DME
1/2 lb Crystal 40L
estimated OG = 1.075
estimated FG = 1.018
Hops (all pellet)
0.5 oz Columbus 60 mins
0.5 oz Citra 15 mins
0.5 oz Citra 10 mins
0.5 oz Citra 5 mins
0.5 oz Columbus 5 mins
1.0 oz Citra 1 mins
1.0 oz DH Citra 7 days
1.0 oz DH Columbus 7 days
estimated IBUs (according to hopville) ~78
Yeast = WLP001
Thanks in advance! Cheers
