i ended up getting tomorrow off, and am going to do an impromptu brew session.

i've got the following on hand

8 lbs 2 row
8 oz chocolate malt
12 oz black pattent
4 oz 90L
8 oz 10L
8 oz 60L
8 oz 120 L
8 oz belgian pale
10 oz special b
10 oz special roast
4 oz belgian pils
4 oz red wheat
12 oz black roast barley
8 oz honey malt.

S04 yeast

lots of fuggle, willamette, nugget, and amarillo hops

all are left overs from buying whole pounds for brews since the beginning of october.

I've got like 4 brown's bottled, and a couple pale-er brews. I'm thinking either a porter/stout or some thing between pale and brown?

Any suggestions?

I agree - you've got a nice stout in there - especially with the fuggles and/or williamette

You definately have what you need for a nice stout:

8lbs. 2-row
4oz. chocolate
4oz. black patent
8-12oz. roasted barley
8oz. crystal 60
1oz. willamette at 60min.
1oz. fuggle at 20min.

S-o4 in the mid to high sixties for a three week primary then bottle or keg.

You could leave out the crystal if you'd like it more dry.
