Hello and greetings from the city of sin.

I am brand new to home brewing, but I love beer and a friend of mine recently suggested that I start brewing beer from my own home. It sounded like a great idea, so why not give it a try?

I look forward to tasting my first self made beer.

VIVA LAS VEGAS! Welcome to the boards... what do you have in mind for your first beer? Something light would be good for the first time around.
 
You'll probably need to use bottled water. When I lived in LV, my water was so bad most of the year, I had a two-stage whole-house filtering system: crud, then activated charcoal.
