I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to brew an american pale ale with a wpl500 or wpl530 or even a dry packet of safbrew t-58

I was planning to use mt hood hops (60min, 15 min, and 3 min)

1lb munich
1/2 lb crystal 20l
light liquid malt (7 lbs)

at 10 minutes to go add 1/4 lb of candi

4 weeks in primary, 10 days in dry hopper, bottle...

is this a bad idea - or worth a shot?

I don't if it is a bad idea. I have made dry ales with London Ale yeast before. It was good. It is your beer and have fun. Maybe you can make a new type of beer. Who knows?
