A quick question about using a solenoid valve in front of your gas vavle. Is it needed to turn on/off the gas or will the gas vavle itself shut off the flow of gas when the power is off the burner control valve?
This came up because I ordered 3 Love controlers that are 120-240 rather than 24-240vac. Rather than pick up another controler I am just shuting off power to the step down transformer 120-24vac when the set temp is reached. Just got them working lastnight then I noticed some systems have the selenoid valves in front of the gas valve
Thanks
