OK how did I screw this up? I used the mill run stout recipe from John Palmer's book Extract with specialty version (here http://www.howtobrew.com/section4/chapter19-3.html) added 8 cups of coffee and had an OG of 1.054 Target was 1.052. Seemed a bit light, but I though it might darken a bit. Fermentation was active enough that it clogged my air lock and I replaced it for 3 days with a sanitized blowoff hose then returned to my cleaned and sanitized airlock. Bottled it this weekend and the color and taste are off. This is only my second batch (first was great) and I have no Idea where I may have screwed this up. The color is about a 19 SRM and final Gravity was 1.015. I'm not sure how to describe the off taste other that I don't think that it is infected as I had an infected beer before.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

PS bottled it all anyway hopefully the taste will improve with the final rest.
