I am brewing a pale ale as my first attempt at homebrewing. I have everything I need, and even have an ex-brewer to give advice. My only obstacle right now is location for fermentation. The only place in my house that stays consistently in the 65-70 degree range is a large open room with windows. What could I use to cover the beer but still access easily for monitoring? I would rather use something sturdier than a blanket.
Any suggestions? thanks

I just used and old stained and paint covered towel wrapped around it. You dont really need anything sturdy just as long as it blocks the light.

I used to use a cardboard box over the top. If I wanted to see what was going on, I just lifted it up. If you get one that is a bit larger, you could also put some ice bottles inside to keep your temperature down a bit more.
