Tried searching for this one, but "AA" brings up a lot of different things...

Can someone explain the AA rating on the Rogue bottles/website?

For example, the Juniper Pale Ale lists the beer stats as
13º Plato
34 IBU
77 AA
3.2º Lovibond

I get ºPlato, IBUs, and Lovibond, but what is AA?

% Apparent Attenutation

13º Plato = a SG of 1.053
1.053 at 77% AA would give you a FG of 1.012 and 5.371% ABV

Excellent - thanks

Interesting that they just don't include FG

Thats freakin hilarious. I'm sittin in a bah and I see the tap handle and I'm sittin there thinking, "w....t....f..... Is "77AA"?"

I google it and sure enough... HBT has the answer. Too funny

Freakin' Rogue. Who are they kidding with plato, IBU, "AA" and degrees lovibond??? Its a effin stout. We get it. Like some is doing the math in their head!?! "oh... Well... Id they were 15 plato with 77 AA, what ABV is that?". An lovibond??? Its a freakin stout!!!
