At least when the stuff hits the fan, I can barter beer for other goods & services. :D

Ive been telling the wife we need a silo and a flex auger setup installed in the backyard for that very reason:mug:

I know when the world ends, I'll go raid the grocery store of apple juice, and I have a nice stash of montrachet yeast.....at least we'll be drinking apfelwien on the regular, and I'll finally have friends

Subject: Retirement Plan

This pretty much sums up what is going on with the stock market. Good
advice.....

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would
now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Air Lines stock you would
have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased United Airlines, you would have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank
all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling
refund you would have $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink
heavily and recycle.

This is called the 401-Keg Plan.

Sweet. The 300 shares of WaMu I had are worth less than a bottle of Maharaja now. Who would have thought.

Good thing my portfolio is well diversified. I have IPAs, Barleywines, Pale Ales, ... ;)

Funny, saw this comment on reddit today:
If you bought $1000 of stock a year ago, you would now have:

$91.28 if you bought Washington Mutual

$37.50 if you bought Neomagic

$21.29 if you bought Freddie Mac

$20.79 if you bought Fannie Mae

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the recycling REFUND... You would have $... 214.00 in cash.

So the best investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan

So in addition to all your homebrew...lets all go out and invest in some microbrew!
