I brewed cheesefood's caramerl cream ale yesterday and i have no air lock activity yet. I have a pack of dry english yeast on hand. if need be can i pitch that in? how will it affect the receipe? How long should i wait before i pitch new yeast?

What kind of yeast did you use, and at what temperature did you put in into the wort? If you used liquid yeast without a starter, 3 days or so might be the lag time.

If I don't use a starter, it typically takes 16 - 48 hours for my airlocks to get going.

i used wyeast greman ale i just hit the smack pack let it blow up and pitched it.
