Why are they all shaped as carboys?? Is there a reason for that or is it just the way it is and everyone goes with it?? I find it much easier to have my beer in a 5 or 5 1/2 gallon bucket with a spigot so i don't have to siphon. Do they sell PET material in a bucket form?? :mug:

The better bottle (PET carboys) have an option for a spigot. You need to order the bottle with a hole drilled in it and purchase the racking assembly (spigot) separately.

I don't know of any bucket-shaped PET options, however one HBT member (SuperiorBrew) is developing a PET fermenter which has the benefits of both buckets and carboys. Here's the link: Click Here/. Once available he plans on selling them through his LHBS.
