Would American Ale 1056 be okay to use for a Scottish Export 80 Ale? I saw its okay to use for strong scottish ales. Would it be to little gravity for this yeast?

I would use the wyeast 1084. Fits your style guidelines better. You might have off flavors if you use the wrong strain of yeast for your style of brew. 1056 doesn't really fit. It will attenuate properly, but might have different flavoring carachteristics. When in doubt, check wyeast's web page. Lots of good info on there. Gives good info on styles and what yeast strains are appropriate.
