The idea certainly has merit! I have made a few peach ciders from store bought juice, ala Apfelwein... But never from scratch.

So did u just use the apfelwein recipe with peach juice? There is a local peach orchard that im gonna try a batch from.

If they have juice, you're in business! Maybe add a touch of ginger.

I'm going to give this a go this year. Weird frost in my part of Colorado, my apple tree (which gave me 12 gallons of juice last year) is a lost cause, but my peach tree's yield is going to be insane.
I've found complicated recipes online, but BigKahuna, seriously just replace the juice in the apfelwein recipe?? Waaaaay easier than what I've found out there. How was it?

We had a late frost on the plains (also CO) that killed all of a friends peppers! 30+plants! My freshly panted cherry trees are suffering, bit the new apple trees look good. Years till they produce tho!
