Can you squeeze the flaked corn out when finished steeping it?

It has soaked up over 60% of my water.

Steeping?? You need to further explain what you have done. Flaked grains need to be mashed. Either way squeezing is not recommended. The used grain should be strained/rinsed to collect the liquid. If you are a novice do yourself a favor and buy a modern homebrewing book like Palmer's "How to Brew". An outline version is available @ nc online which will provide detailed information on steeping and partial mashing.

My terminology is wrong. I am mini-mashing flaked corn with cara-pils for a cream ale. 2 separate muslin bags.

You need some base malt in there to supply the diastatic power for it to be mashing. You were right before, you are steeping.
