I ask because I'll still want to use the better bottle for beer once the apfelwein is finished. I'm just concerned that since it's plastic, will the apple taste linger and affect my beers down the road?
Can I use a better bottle for Apfelwein?

Another follow-up question. Is the corn sugar the recipe calls for the same as priming sugar one would use during bottling? In other words, can I just buy 2 lbs. of corn sugar from my LHBS?

Thanks for all the help so far. Yet another question...most of the apple juice I've seen in the store lists absorbic acid as one of the ingredients in the juice. Is this ok to use?

Ascorbic acid is vitamin C. Don't worry about that it won't effect the final product.
