Hi all

Well I am using the blow off tube in the new batch of Canadian Ale. My first question is the blow off tube bucket of water was like a gold color because of the BTF Iodophor Sanitizer I put in the water. After 2 days the color is gone. Should I add more BTF sanitizer or just let it be? Also should I replace the blow off tube and put on the air lock in about one weak or just leave the blow off tube on till bottling day?

Thanks Roger

You can just leave the water as-is with no worries.

As for swapping out with an airlock, that is purely a personal preference. The blow-off tube is technically an airlock, so you are really only deciding if you want to leave it alone with a large airlock or switch it for a small airlock. Either way will work.
