I just spend some time on some German Beer websites and found some interesting stuff.
Oldest Brewery: Weihenstephan, near Munich, Germany. Opened in 1040. Also the only place where you can get a university degree in brewing as part of the Munich University.
Largest Beergarden: Augustiner Biergarten, Munich. Opened in 1901, 5200 seats.
Largest beer serving Restaurant. Mathaeser. 5500 seats, 12000 gallons served daily!!!!!
There is a beer store in Germany with 1250 brews from 69 countries. They also have 650 varieties of water and soda water....
World Record in opening beer bottles: 300 in 1 minute 47 seconds.
Largest beer festival: Oktoberfest 1999, Munich: 1.45 million gallons of beer in 16 days...... 11 supersized tents holding 2000+ people on a field the size of 20 football fields
