I am about to bottle a cider that I made, about 6-7 months ago. I am going to use a gallon of apple juice for primer. Is there still enough yeast to make the cider sparkiling? If I need to add yeast wjat type and how much? This will make a 5 gal batch. I used Wyeast cider yeast.

What was the starting gravity? What was the final gravity? If you draw off say , a cup of the cider and add some sugar will the sample show signs of fermenting?

Og was 1.078 finished at .99. I took a sample and threw some sugar in there, i guess I will see in time.

I am about to bottle this weekend. And in a very similar situation. Trying to figure out if I need to re-yeast the cider.

Did yours end up working out?

THANKS!
