This is not a "did a I ruin my beer" thread, but here we go anyway...

My brown ale has been in primary for about two weeks. I had been keeping it around 66-67 with the frozen water bottles for about 11-12 days. Then we went out of town, and the girl dog sitting for us cranked up the heat for two days. When I got home the fermometer said 72. I got it back to 68 before I went to bed.

I know that the temps are most critical in the first few days of primary, but what I am looking at here in terms off flavors?

Major issue, maybe a little bit, or RDWHAHB?

I'd call that a big ol' RDWHAHB. 85, I'd be a little concerned, but 72? Don't worry man, you're golden....

Consider it a Diacetyl rest. It's all good....it will be getting rid of certain off flavors.

The only time temp is crucial is in the first 24-48 hours of fermentation...
