Tonight I made my first starter for the AHB Canadian Ale. I made one quart of water and 1 cup of DME. Boiled for 15 mins, cooled and pitched in a gallon clear growler.

I plan on brewing the all grain Ale on Sat or Sun.

I guess I just wait.

I am tired of my beers taking 3 days to take off with one vial when Mr. Malty says I should have 1.9 vials w/o a starter.

30 batches and a newbie at starters. I hope it helps the overall beer.

you will be very happy with how much the starter helps the overall beer. make sure you agitate it frequently and no worries waiting until saturday or sunday. it's a small enough starter that you can just pitch the whole thing with no problem.
