I have a Belgian Lambic partial mash recepie that calls for 5 pounds of Wheat DME.

Can someone suggest an all grain substitution for the DME? The only other grains are 8oz carapils and 8 oz German Crystal. This is supposed to be a 5 gal batch. 6# of malt just seems a bit low.

I punched it into beersmith and I ger 7.5lbs to get to the same gravity as the 5lbs of DME

Thanks Guys, I will have to get more acclimated to the beersmith et al.

DON'T FORGET that wheat DME is usualy only ~60% Wheat Malt, the other ~40% is plain Pale Malt! You'll want to split that 7.5 lb (or so) between the 2.

I have Beersmith on Android, where do I make the conversion from DME to grain?
