I have an extract recipe whose taste I like, but I wished the beer had more body.

It tastes nice but it doesn't have head retention and no body.

3 lbs light DME, 3.3lbs amber LME.

What grains would you suggest I steep to get the body I am looking for.

If you want to keep it simple just add some Malto-Dextrine. I can't remember the exact amount per gallon, but I think I used 1 cup before and that made a big difference.

How about just adding an extra pound of DME? This will give you more malt flavor, more body, and more alcohol - all of which contribute to a fuller tasting beer.
