Anyone know where I can find one of these:

Looks like a cool device to prevent loosing too much beer.

That's an accessory that comes with the "V-Vessel". Here's the whole thing for sale at NB. Am I understanding correctly that you're wanting to buy just the "trub ball" separately to use with a different conical?

So I'm guessing you have a conical already? What fitting is on the bottom valve - threaded/RJT/Tri Clover?

If tri clover you could build your own:
1x http://www.brewershardware.com/1.5-Tri-Clover-Clamp-Style-Extension-Tube-6-OAL-TC15TUBE06.html - $21
2x http://www.brewershardware.com/1.5-Tri-Clover-Cap.html - $6
2x http://www.brewershardware.com/.5-Tri-Clover-Gasket-Silicone-TC05SILGASKET.html - $3
Total = $40
If you have a threaded valve on the bottom add this http://www.brewershardware.com/1.5-Tri-Clover-X-1-Male-NPT.html - $18
Total = $58
If you want to be flash use this instead of the extension tube http://www.brewershardware.com/1.5-Tri-Clover-Sight-Glass.html -$52
Total = $61 (not including the NPT x TC fitting)
EDIT: changed to 1" NPT fitting

Agreed. I think v-vessel is out of business, but even if you could track it down, that trub ball runs $39. For that, it should be pretty easy to construct your own (or pay a few bucks more and have a pimped out TC version).

Correct. I have a 15gl minibrew with a 1" npt on the bottom.

Does the trub actually fill the ball, or does it sit on the sides of the conical ?
I've been thinking about these to make it easier to get rid of the trub befor starting fermentation.
