As the season for lager brewing has arrived I have decided to give it a shot. My question is just like the title of the thread; can I use my pressure barrel as a secondary fermentation vessel? The plan would be to lager it for as long as I can (before it gets too cold) then bottle from the barrel. Of course this means I will not prime the barrel when transferring the primary.
Basically where I live there are no brew shops close by so I don't really want to go out and buy a new carboy or plastic bucket.

Yes, I do this with no problems, as long as you have a pressure vent on your barrel.
