As I usually do I prepared the priming solution for a 5 gallon batch, cooled it, and placed it at the bottom of the bottling bucket. Next I proceeded to transfer from the primary but lost about 3/4 of a gallon of beer due to a large amount of the hops used in dry hopping not dropping.

I just realized that the mix of priming solution was for 5 gallons and I ended up with 4 and a bit. What to do? Am I doomed to bombs?

For the moment I placed the bottles in the cooler at 65 degress. Your guidance will be appreciated.

They should not be bottle bombs, just a little more carbed than usual. I would try one at 2 weeks and if it is good, get the bottles in the fridge to stop carbing.

you ahve to REALLY overshoot the sugar to get bombs. you'll be fine, just kinda fizzy beer.
