So I'm planning to give this recipe a shot: Kabe's APA

I also want to try my hand and washing/harvesting when I transfer to the secondary. My question: Is it worth trying to wash/harvest Pacman yeast after 21 days in the primary?

i thought after that much time in the primary the yesties may be spent and less viable. there would also be a larger amount of trub too. i didn't want to waste my effforts if i wouldn't get healthy yeast to use from the process.

3 weeks isn' that long. Your beasties will be very happy. Follow the yeast washing sticky and you'll be set. If washed properly you'll get rid of nearly all the trub. Good luck!
