This recipe gives me the same numbers (real close anyway) as Smuttynose Old Brown Dog Ale, and uses the same grains and hops. Are my percentages ok for the specialty grains?

6.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 55.81 %
3.00 lb Munich Malt - 20L (20.0 SRM) Grain 27.91 %
1.25 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 11.63 %
0.50 lb Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 4.65 %
0.75 oz Williamette [5.50 %] (45 min) Hops 13.2 IBU
0.50 oz Cascade [5.50 %] (5 min) Hops 1.9 IBU

Thanks guys and gals

I would be inclined to drop the crystal % down. At the ~ 12% rate it might be a bit too sweet. Using 3/4 lb would bring it down to ~6%. Are these the actual grains used by Smuttynose in the Brown Ale? You might want to consider using a little brown malt in place of some crystal and Munich.

Those are the grains listed on their site. I wonder what the effect would be to lower the percentage of crystal some and increase the chocolate to about 6% maybe.
