I was just making a starter, shook my WL tube (001) went to open the cap and I now have yeast everywhere. I never recall this happening before :drunk:

Anyone else have this?
 
Happened to me too. I managed to get some into my starter, but not enough. My beer turned out awful.
 
You should crack the tube BEFORE you shake it up. Relieve the pressure then tighten the cap and shake. When re-opening .... turn it upside down over a funnel sitting in the flask and unscrew it over the funnel. Could still get a tiny splash.... but not an explosion.
 
Yep, learned that lesson, too. Now I swirl it to mix it but don;t shake it.
The first time I cleaned yeast off my ceiling was the last time.
