I want to make another starter for my next batch but all I have on hand is dark DME. Will this work as well as light DME or is this ill-advised?

Works fine. But will add some darkness to your brew. Won't matter much if it's a darker one to begin with but a low srm may be bumped up a notch.

That shouldn't matter because I'm making another stout. I just wanted to be sure the performance wasn't affected. Thanks!
