I have two packs of Saf. S-33 which my dad brought over for me from England.
The problem is, the website says it's ale yeast, the fact sheet says it's ale yeast BUT the pack says Lager yeast!
What's going on?

S-33 is the EDME strain. It's an English ale yeast.

Now, S-23 is a lager yeast...

That is just what i was thinking.
But the pack clearly says s-33 lager yeast.
Will try to post a pic asap.

Yes, the pack says lager yeast. I have used it for belgian pale ale and it does what it is supposed to.
If re-hydrated properly this yeast will take off in an hour or two.
